RE-LOCATING?

1 Get a "final reading" of your water, gas and electric service
2 Set up accounts with utility companies in the new area  
3 Arrange for utilities to be turned on in the new house a few days before you move it 
4 Cut off local phone service/transfer records to set up a new account  
5 Terminate long-distance phone service or transfer account to destination city 
6 Transfer medical/dental records, including proof of children's immunizations 
7 Have prescriptions renewed before moving, so that necessary medication will be on hand 
8 Enroll children in new school 
9 Close local bank accounts and transfer to a bank in the new area 10. Close local charge accounts

11 Make a personal inventory of household goods and their worth  
12 Check insurance coverage to make sure you are adequately protected  
13 If moving to a new state, check on applicable auto laws and regulations regarding insurance  
14 Change address on all magazine subscriptions  
15 Arrange for any cancellation of local newspaper deliveries
